The working group “Pragmatism” continues its consideration of the current theoretical possibilities and historical implications of key figures from 19th and 20th century American pragmatism with a number of seminars led by internationally recognized scholars. Our focus in the fall semester will be Dewey, with directed readings led by Melvin Rogers, Brown University, and Alexander Livingston, Cornell. In the spring, we will move on to Peirce, with a visit from Eduardo Kohn, McGill University.
