  • Jordan Brower’s talk will put us in conversation with his recent monograph, Classical Hollywood, American Modernism: A Literary History of the Studio System. The talk will be followed by a wine and cheese reception!

    Jordan Brower is Assistant Professor of English at the University of Kentucky. His first book, Classical Hollywood, American Modernism: A Literary History of the Studio System, was published in January with Cambridge University Press. He’s currently editing The Cambridge Companion to American Literature and Film and working on a new project on post-2008 American film and television, portions of which will appear in The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies this winter.
